Lindsey Gerson

Lindsey Gerson is a performer, choreographer, and seamstress in Austin, Texas. She was born in Germany and grew up in El Paso, Texas. She started her dancing career in classical ballet at 13 and continued for 6 years under the direction of David Alejandro Duran. After graduating high school, she traveled abroad for 7 months in Germany and China. In 2012 she moved to Austin and began choreography and improvisational dance classes with Darla Johnson. During this time, she began sewing and costume making. She received her certificate in American Sign Language Studies 2016. She then received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance with an emphasis in Performance and Choreography in May 2018 from Texas State and her Associate of Arts in Dance in August of 2019 from Austin Community College. Lindsey has been teaching Ballet, Pointe, Contemporary, Jazz, and Improv for 10 years in the greater Austin area, she loves sharing her passion for movement with all ages and preforms intermittently with Blue Lapis Light, and in other various shows. She continues her self-taught work as a seamstress, and started her own business, Yours Truly By Lindsey, in 2018. Lindsey’s darling black cat, Coco, enjoys assisting with all sewing projects. She lives with her husband in South Austin and loves tea time and vintage delights!
