Introducing Vitality Dance Company!
What is Vitality Dance Company?
VDC is an award-winning dance company for the experienced dancer ages 9 and up. Vitality Dance Company is committed to developing elite dancers who value community, discipline, and artistic exploration. Through performance opportunities, volunteer work, convention training, and competitions, our dancers grow both in and outside the studio. We aim to expand their appreciation of the arts while fostering a sense of teamwork and leadership.
We’re looking forward to welcoming new and returning dancers to audition for the 2025-2026 season of Vitality Dance Company!
Auditions are divided into two groups based on the dancer’s Jazz class level for the 2025-2026 season. Please read the schedule carefully to attend at the correct time.

Audition Dates: Friday, August 1st & Saturday, August 2nd

Friday, August 1st – Jazz Combo Learning Day

Group 1 (Dancers enrolled in Jazz Levels I-IV): 4:30 - 6:00 PM

Group 2 (Dancers enrolled in Jazz Levels V-VII): 6:00 - 7:30 PM

Saturday, August 2nd – Audition Day (Includes Ballet, Jazz, & Contemporary Improv)

Group 1 (Dancers enrolled in Jazz Levels I-IV): 9:30 - 11:30 AM

Group 2 (Dancers enrolled in Jazz Levels V-VII): 12:30 - 2:30 PM

- Audition Registration Deadline: Wednesday, July 30th

Dancers must arrive 30 minutes prior to their audition time to warm up on their own.

Audition Requirements:

Must be 9 years of age or older as of Jan. 2026

If they are under 9 years of age, they may audition if they have completed one year on VDC Prep

Must complete a 15 hour Punch Card & the Ballet Intensive to audition in August

$30 Audition Fee & VDC Application due at the time of audition

2025-2026 VDC Company Members will be announced within 24 hours.

All new company members will be set up a one on one parent/dancer meeting with Ms. Jade prior to the first rehearsal

When are auditions and what are the requirements?
NEW this Year: VDC Collective
We’re launching a new program for dedicated younger dancers (4th - 6th grade) ready to push their training to the next level. To be eligible for the VDC Collective, dancers must also be a member of Vitality Dance Company.
What to Expect:

VDC Collective dancers will take a weekly technique/choreography class

VDC Collective dancers will compete an additional competition routine

VDC Collective dancers will attend a required Spring Convention
How to Audition:

Dancers will indicate interest during the VDC audition registration process

Dancers will be selected for the Collective during the VDC audition
Expectations of a VDC Team Member
Competitions/
Conventions
-
VDC will have the opportunity to attend multiple dance conventions through out the year. Some of the conventions will have competition opportunities for solos, duets, trios and small groups. Conventions are optional for all our dancers.

VDC members will attend 3 - 4 group competitions per year

While most events are local, a few may require travel to nearby cities.

VDC Collective, Team Evolve, and Team Soar will attend and compete at a Spring Convention

Class Requirements
-
Must take 3 classes at PAD during the 2025-2026 School Year. One of which MUST be Ballet.

Members can only compete in a genre they take class in. (EX: Must take Hip Hop to compete in a Hip Hop routine. Must take Tap to compete in a Tap routine)
Rehearsal Requirements
-
Company rehearsals are held on Saturday or Sundays.

Company members will rehearse THREE to FOUR times a month.

Company members will receive a schedule two months at a time to allow for planning etc.

VDC company members must notify the director/instructor of any absences for company rehearsals by email or phone. Absences need to be kept to a minimum.
Solo/Duet/Trio Requirements

Choreography Rate: $75–$100/hr (3-hour minimum), Cleaning Rate: $50/hr

2 self-scheduled 30-min rehearsals/month

Studio Fee: ~$10/half-hour

VDC Fees & Tuition

VDC Tuition: $75/month (covers 3–4 rehearsals/month)

Costume Fee: $75–$90/routine

Competition Entry: $65–$80/routine

Media Packages: $30–$50/event

Guest Choreography: Partial fee covered by PAD; remainder split by dancers in routine
