PADlock DANCE CREW AUDITIONS

Ages 6-9 - 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM
Ages 10-12 - 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Ages 13 and up - 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM

 

OUR MISSION:

PADlock Dance Crew is geared towards dancers ages 6 and up. Our mission is to create a crew that is welcoming and safe to all dancers. A place where they will learn to attach and detach, adaptable like a Padlock, their skills onto any situation inside and outside of dance. We value not only community involvement through performance and volunteer work, but also through expanding their knowledge and appreciation of hip hop. We want to open these dancers to the world of dance outside our studio doors and let them experience classes with master teachers as well as a chance to compete with their crew.
 

PADlock Audition Requirements: 

    • Must be 6 years of age or older as of January 2024

    • Must take Hip Hop Intensive and 5 Hour Punch Card or two Hip Hop Intensives

    • $25 Audition Fee & PADlock Dance Crew Application due at the time of audition 

    • Audition Date: Saturday, August 19th (Dancers must arrive 15 minutes prior to their audition time to warm up on their own.)​

      • Time TBD

    • Registration closes on Wednesday, August 16th

    • 2023 - 2024 PADlock Company Members will be announced within 24 hours.

      • Crew Rehearsals begin in September.

Expectations of our Company Members:

Conventions/ Competitions

  • PADlock will have the opportunity to attend Monsters Dance Convention in January 2024. 

  • PADlock Crew members will attend THREE dance competitions as a team.

Class Requirements

  • Must take Hip Hop at PAD during the 2023 - 2024 School Year.

 

Rehearsal Requirements

  • Crew rehearsals are held on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. This will be based on the number of crew members for 23-24.

  • Crew members will rehearse TWO - THREE  times a month.

  • Crew members will receive a schedule two months at a time to allow for planning etc.

  • PADlock crew members must notify the director/instructor of any absences for company rehearsals by email. Absences need to be kept to a minimum.

Uniform & Required PADlock Attire​

Performance & uniform attire that is estimated between - $150-$200 

  • Will include: shoes, top, pants, jacket, etc.

  • Crew Shirt - $25

    • Rehearsal attire: Proper dance attire. 

      • Clean Tennis Shoes (no gravel, mud or rocks)

      • T-Shirt, Shorts, Leggings etc. (NO JEANS)

      • Hair pulled back

 

PADlock Company Tuition

  • Crew members - $60 PADlock Tuition per month ( 2 - 3 rehearsals per month)

  • Competition Fees - $60 - $70 per routine depending on competition

  • Competition Media Packages - $30 - $50 per competition if available
