You’re remodeling a one-room space, painting walls by hand, imagining tiny dancers taking their first steps across the floor.
You’re planning your first class schedule, welcoming your very first families, and dreaming that this little studio will become something meaningful. You don’t know yet that dancers will grow up here.
That confidence will be built here.

​Pivotal Academy of Dance was founded in 2016 with one goal: to create a place where dancers could grow both as artists and as people.
​
After more than 23 years as a dance educator and choreographer, founder Jade Greenough Powell opened Pivotal Academy of Dance to build the kind of studio where strong technique and a positive culture go hand in hand. What began as a dream has grown into a thriving dance community serving families throughout Buda, Kyle, and the surrounding areas.

As we enter our 11th season, we are grateful for every family who has been part of our story. We look forward to welcoming new dancers into a community where they can find their place, discover their potential, and grow through dance.

Our Mission
At Pivotal Academy of Dance our instructors are devoted not only to teaching the art of dance, but are here to inspire and motivate our students through movement.
Our mission is to provide our dancers with professional dance instruction and instill an appreciation of the arts in a safe, high-quality studio environment.
We pride ourselves on age appropriate music and costuming while focusing on the true meaning of dance. We strive for accomplished, well-rounded dancers.
Our Space
Located at 3310B FM 967 A105 in Buda, Texas, Pivotal Academy of Dance offers three modern studio spaces for our dancers to train. Each studio has marley and/or sport court flooring. When it comes to flooring, the right choice can literally make or break the dancer. Our studios are equipped with high-performance surfaces that increase the safety of our dancers.

Each of our three studios have their own lobby for parents and visitors to relax while classes are underway. You can view your dancer's class through the TVs mounted in each of the lobbies.
Our Programs
We provide high-quality instruction for dancers of all ages and experience levels through classes including Bitty Bop, Combo, BTJ, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Acro, Musical Theater, Pointe, and more. For dancers looking for additional performance and training opportunities, we're proud to be home to Vitality Dance Company and PADlock Dance Crew. Our competitive programs provide a place for passionate dancers to deepen their training, build meaningful relationships, and continue growing in a community that supports them every step of the way.
