At Pivotal Academy of Dance our instructors are devoted not only to teaching the art of dance, but are here to inspire and motivate our students through movement. Our mission is to provide our dancers with professional dance instruction and instill an appreciation of the arts in a safe, high-quality studio environment. We pride ourselves on age appropriate music and costuming while focusing on the true meaning of dance. We strive for accomplished, well-rounded dancers.

Every class is designed to challenge, encourage, and inspire dancers while helping them feel seen and supported.
What do we offer?
We offer top-quality training for dancers ages 2 through adults, at all skill levels. Classes include Combo, BTJ, Bitty Bop, Acro, Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Jazz, Pointe, Musical Theater, and more. Our certified instructors in Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT), Alixa Flexibility, and Acrobatic Arts ensure every dancer receives the best instruction to grow and reach their full potential.
Where are we located?
Pivotal Academy of Dance is located at 3310B FM 967, Suite A105, in Buda, Texas, proudly serving dancers and families from Buda, Kyle, South Austin, Driftwood, San Marcos, and the surrounding communities. Our modern dance studio features three spacious studios with professional dance flooring designed to provide a safe and supportive training environment. Each studio includes a comfortable parent lobby with TVs, allowing families to watch their dancer's class while they relax.

Our Story
POV: It's 2016.
You’re remodeling a one-room space, painting walls by hand, imagining tiny dancers taking their first steps across the floor. You’re planning your first class schedule, welcoming your very first families, and dreaming that this little studio will become something meaningful. You don’t know yet that dancers will grow up here. That confidence will be built here.
Pivotal Academy of Dance was founded in 2016 with one goal: to create a place where dancers could grow both as artists and as people.
After more than 23 years as a dance educator and choreographer, founder Jade Greenough Powell opened Pivotal Academy of Dance to build the kind of studio where strong technique and a positive culture go hand in hand. What began as a dream has grown into a thriving dance community serving families throughout Buda, Kyle, and the surrounding areas.
As we enter our 11th season, we are grateful for every family who has been part of our story. We look forward to welcoming new dancers into a community where they can find their place, discover their potential, and grow through dance.
