Pivotal Petites

Ages 2 - 3 Years

In this 45-minute class students will learn the joy of rhythm and movement through various styles of dance. Dancers will learn body awareness, good listening skills, creative expression, and teamwork in fun and upbeat environment.

Bitty Bop

Ages 3 - 6 Years

Break out the jams for this 45-minute class! High-energy hip-hop will give your child a medium to explore rhythmic expression and fitness to grow a lifetime of love for dance. Using new and “old-school” beats, your child will develop his or her own hip hop style.

Ballet/Tap Combo

Ages 3 - 6 Years

One hour class combining ballet, tap and tumbling for an unforgettable dance experience. Students will learn to shuffle and plié, among other dance skills, while making friends, learning how to participate in a class, follow instructions, and dance along to their favorite songs.

Ballet/Tap/Jazz Combo

Ages 6 - 8 Years

A 1.5 hour class that builds on basic movements in Ballet, Tap, and Jazz. The Jazz class includes an introduction to proper warm-ups and stretches for the body combined with across-the-floor progressions and mini combinations. The Tap portion of the class will concentrate on building confidence through mastering more difficult rhythmic patterns and steps. The Ballet portion of class includes an introduction to the ballet barre and learning more challenging steps.

Hip Hop

Ages 6 - 18 Years

Hip Hop is a high-energy class that infuses the latest styles of street dancing, breaking, popping, and locking. Classes will encourage students to step outside of the box by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements. Hip Hop dance requires students to have the strength and stamina. Therefore, class includes upper and lower body conditioning as well as a rigorous warm-up to help prepare students for more intense movements.

Acro

Ages 6 - 18 Years

Acro uses flexibility, balance, strength, and coordination to perform gymnastic-based tricks. In this class, students perform conditioning exercises to prepare them for increased difficulty. Students will begin with basic stunts such as forward rolls, cartwheels, and beginner balances. More advanced students will continue to add to their repertoire with more advanced tumbling, balances, and partner lifts/stunts.

Musical Theatre

Ages 6 - 9 Years

This fun high energy class allows dancers to become actors too! Musical Theatre dances to a variety of musical songs; they practice technique while telling a story with their movements. Previous dance experience is helpful but not required.

Ballet

Ages 9 - 18 Years

One hour class where students will focus on building the strength, flexibility and control needed to execute Ballet technique. Each class will emphasize barre exercises, center floor work, and across-the-floor combinations.As students progress through each level, curriculum will become increasingly more complex and intricate.

Jazz

Ages 9 - 18 Years

Jazz class will focus on learning proper dance technique such as isolations of the body, improving performance quality and developing complex rhythms and patterns. Students will be exposed to various styles of Jazz such as Broadway, Street and Contemporary to help develop a well rounded dancer. Class curriculum is based on Ballet technique layered with traditional Jazz movement and includes a proper warm-up, across-the-floor progressions, and combinations. As students progress through each level, curriculum will become increasingly more complex and intricate.

Tap

Ages 9 - 18 Years

Tap classes are designed to develop rhythm, style and sound. Students will learn a variety of Tap styles from Broadway to Rhythm Tap. Exercises will focus on building flexibility of the knees and ankles, coordination, and speed of movement. The class emphasis is on developing proper Tap technique, producing clear sounds, and having fun. As students progress through each level, curriculum will become increasingly more complex and intricate.

Contemporary

Ages 9 - 18 Years

Contemporary is a fluid form of dance with a Ballet/Jazz influence. The dancer is taught to interpret his or her movement with feeling, motion, and style. A Ballet and/or Jazz class is recommended along with contemporary to assist in building technique.

Pointe

Teacher Reccomendation Only

A 45-minute class for the advanced ballet dancer by teacher recommendation only.  This class is intended for the dancer who has shown adequate physical strength, accurate technique, and necessary mental awareness to go en pointe. Must be registered in a ballet class in addition to the appropriate pointe class.

PBT

Ages 10 - 18 Years

Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) is an innovative body-conditioning and strengthening program that has been designed to enhance students' technique by focusing on training the muscle memory required in each exercise in all forms of dance. PBT focuses on core strength, weight placement and alignment of the body with a gradual approach of carefully designed exercises and repetitions of these exercises that trigger their muscle memory. This is a great supplementary class for those taking ballet and those who wish to take pointe in the future.

Adult Classes

Ages 18+

We offer four different classes for our adult dancers: Adult Tap, Adult Jazz, Adult Hip Hop, and Adult PBT. 

Adult Tap:​ Tap classes are designed to develop rhythm, style and sound. The class emphasis is on developing proper Tap technique, producing clear sounds, and having fun. 

Adult Jazz: Jazz is a high energy, stamina-building class. We focus on classical jazz technique, with across the floor progressions and combinations.  

Adult Hip Hop: Hip Hop is a fun, high-energy class that infuses the latest styles of street dancing, breaking, popping, and locking. A great way to break a sweat to upbeat songs!

Adult Progressing Ballet Training (PBT): PBT is a body-conditioning and strengthening program using ballet-technique specific exercises. This fun class set to high energy music to improve your balance, tone your muscles, and increase your flexibility.

Pivotal Barre Pump: A barre-inspired workout class. Bring your mat and light handweights if you you have them at home! (2 - 5 lbs)
